AGREEMENT
Before using the PetList.au Platform or registering an Account, please carefully review this Agreement in full. Below is a general summary of your key undertakings:
True Descriptions – Consumer Laws
For Sellers: You must provide accurate and comprehensive information in all Listings. The information must not be false or misleading. Buyers, even when purchasing pets animals or animal-related goods, have rights and guarantees under Consumer Laws that cannot be excluded in Listings. As a Seller, you must ensure you do not misrepresent the condition or quality of the Pets, animals or Animal-related Goods or Services, you must:
- Clearly describe any defects or special care requirements in Listings for Pets.
- Perform Services with due care and skill, ensuring they are fit for purpose and delivered within a reasonable time.
Petlist.au is governed by the Commonwealth of Australia Constitutional law and any applicable laws subordinate to it.
Your Privacy – Privacy Laws
We take our privacy obligations seriously, in line with our Privacy Policy and Privacy Laws. We may collect and store data about your use of the Platform while you hold an Account or as long as we reasonably consider necessary for operational, legal, or other genuine business purposes.
Risks and Online Safety
Purchasing pets, animals and animal-related goods online involves inherent risks. Never provide your bank details or other financial information to Buyers or Sellers over the internet. Always verify the condition and health of pets or animals in person where possible and seek appropriate professional guidance. Some Goods and Services have unique risks and instructions for proper use, which you accept and promise to adhere to.
Buyer Obligations
If you buy Pets, animals, Goods, or Services on PetList.au, you must inspect the Pets, Goods, or Services thoroughly and satisfy yourself as to their quality and nature (including any defects or fitness for purpose) before paying the Seller. You agree that PetList.au is not a party to any agreement between you and a Seller and does not owe you a refund for any purchase made through the Platform.
Community Behaviour
You must not use the Platform for any illegal purpose and you must be respectful and courteous in all interactions with other Users and PetList Personnel. We rely on our community to follow the rules set out in this Agreement, to provide a safe, convenient, and useful Platform for all Users.
Take Action Against Misuse
We encourage you to report any User you suspect of violating this Agreement. We may revoke your account (or the Account of any other User you may be dealing with) at any time if we suspect a breach of this Agreement, without notice or liability to you. We may also issue warnings or take other actions as we see fit.
